what i do

In a typical session, we will process the issues/emotions that are important to you. This is your time, and I want to support your needs and priorities. I will facilitate processing what is coming up for you/you all. We will work together to build skills and tools to practice in everyday life and strategize how you can develop skills outside of the sessions to enhance your well-being.

my approach

Quote for Lily Morrill About Page (2).jpg

I am trained as a traditional counselor/psychotherapist and have specialty training in Somatic Psychotherapy. Somatic therapy treats the mind and body as a whole. Research is increasingly demonstrating that awareness of how your body is responding can effectively address where one is held back, stuck or in pain. I help you process emotions and trauma on a body-based, felt-sense level. Often feeling through trauma and emotions offers greater resolution than thinking through the issue.

For clients who do not need or want somatic work, I am trained in a range of traditional psychotherapeutic techniques as well.
